Food insecurity is experienced by a growing number of people living in our local communities. The food insecure, are both adults and children, who do not have access to the food necessary to live healthy, productive lives. They live throughout our communities, and they need our help.

The goal of the Coalition Food Pantry is to provide healthy, nutritious food to these deserving families and individuals. Located at 149 Bishops Highway, in Kingston, the Coalition Food Pantry provides perishable and non-perishable foods to food insecure residents of the greater South Shore. 

  • All food insecure Individuals and families are eligible for assistance at the Plymouth Area Coalition Food Pantry.
  • In response to the concerns and protocols of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Food Pantry has shifted to a ‘drive through’ model.
  • Food Pantry staff and volunteers make every effort to match the needs and requests of Food Pantry patrons.

Food insecure individuals and families can register for additional assistance through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Information is available on-line at: https://www.mass.gov/snap-benefits-food-stamps

We receive generous support from Greater Boston Food Bank, and local food suppliers like; Whole Foods, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Trader Joe’s, and Walmart. In addition, we are tremendously grateful to the countless local churches, private foundations, businesses, civic groups and individual community members who graciously host food drives and benefits in support of the Food Pantry. Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Baskets, made possible by our generous donors, are also distributed through the Food Pantry to families and individuals from 22 South Shore communities.

Hours of operation are:

Wednesday: 4:00pm to 7:00pm
Thursday:10:00am to 2:00pm
Friday: 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon

Donations of food, personal care products, diapers, and baby food are accepted 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
